Princess Doll Cakes
Princess doll cakes are a favorite of little girls. I have had the privilege of making several princess cakes. Some of them are featured below. A tutorial on how to make princess cakes can be found here.
Blonde Princess in Pink and Purple Gown
This is the first princes doll cake I ever made. I had wanted to make one for a long time and so was very excited when someone said he needed a cake for a little girl. In fact, I think I was the one who sold the princess doll cake idea to him. The ensemble is a purple ball gown with pink flowers and a chick pink top with purple details. The cake is a Butter Chocolate Cake frosted with chocolate buttercream frosting. The ball part of the gown was made using a Wilton Wonder Mold and the top half of the doll is a Wilton Doll Pick.
