In this pictorial, I will be showing you how I made the fondant doves above. These doves were used as toppers for the child dedication cake below.

The inspiration for these doves came from a fondant lovebirds topper I made in the past. These doves were made in almost the same way as those lovebirds save for a few differences like in the wings and tails. A pictorial on how to make fondant lovebirds can be found here.

PICTORIAL:

Make wings and tails. Draw or print out templates from the net. Cut out fondant using the templates and insert floral wires into both the wings and tails. Leave these to dry thoroughly.

Make beaks out of pink fondant and stick to the heads. Also make eyes out of black fondant or use small black sugar pearls. Leave the doves to dry before using
