Pink and Green Birthday Cake with Pink Roses
This cake was made for a friend’s birthday. She was turning 30 and her husband wanted to surprise her with a cake. People had different reactions to this cake. While some loved it, some others felt it was somewhat understated. How did I react to this cake? Well, I loved it. It looks quaint and simple in a sophisticated way. The cakes underneath are Red Velvet Cakes frosted with Creamcheese Frosting. The designs were made with marshmallow fondant.
One interesting thing about this cake is that it initially did not have the pink flowers on it. After I showed it to my personal critic he stated that I needed something else on the cake. I decided that something else should be pink roses.
I look forward to making a wedding cake using this design.
