A friend of mine was celebrating her birthday and her boyfriend wanted a cute bag which showed her vivacious personality. Knowing that she loved fashion, I decided to go with a fashion statement piece. That was how I came about this tote bag cake design. This is the second bag cake I am making, the first being a Chanel Bag Cake. Needless to say, the bag, sorry cake was well received.

The cake itself is a Nigerian Cake frosted with Vanilla Buttercream. All the design work was done with Marshmallow Fondant. I have a tutorial here on how I made this cake. Do check it out. Below are several views of the cake.

Wow Terry, you’re a Genius!!! Beautiful Creation!! Please I really need ur help on cake mixing, not yet accurate with the measurement of different sizes…

Thanks. It really depends on how high you want your cake to be. Most of my recipes work for two 8 or 9 inch pans. For 10 inch pans, I usually multiply the recipe by 1.5 or I make a 3rd sponge using half of the recipe. For larger pans, I usually double the recipe. I hope this helps.

Oh, it sure helps. Thanks a lot.
