You don’t have to wait for summer to indulge in some grilled meat, poultry or fish. With an indoor grill, you can achieve almost the same results as you would grilling on an outdoor wood/coal grill. I love salmon a lot and have developed a lot of creative ways of eating it. One such way is to cut it thinly, marinade in some homemade marinade and grill. Though the war wages on on which salmon is best (wild or farmed), when I can afford to, I always opt for wild salmon as the taste and texture is obviously superior to farm raised salmon. Whichever way you choose to swing, you will love these crunchy treats. They can also be used in the preparation of other meals which I will be writing on in future. For now, let us grill some salmon.

INGREDIENTS:

(1) 1 Medium Sized Salmon Fillet (Preferably the mid section)

(2) 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce

(3) 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

(4) 2 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar

(5) 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

(6) A drop of Liquid Smoke (Optional, but adds a smoky flavor)

(7) Salt and Pepper to taste

PROCEDURE:

(1) Scale, wash and and dry salmon. Chop into thin slices using a sharp knife or mandolin slicer.

(3) Marinate salmon, cover and keep in fridge for 1 hour so the flavors have time to blend together.

(5) Grill salmon fillets on prepared grill. Grill 5 minutes on 1 side, flip and grill 2 minutes on the other.

    Dear Terry,

Roughly what weight is a “medium sized” salmon fillet? I would like to get the size as close to what you have used so the ingredients for the marinade are enough to do their job.

    Thank you.
