Red and Cream Tiered Cake
This cake was made for the birthday celebration of an amazing woman and I knew I had to bring my A game. The colors were red and cream and she wanted square shaped cakes. She was blown away by the cake when she saw it.
The top layer is a Coconut Sponge Cake frosted with Coconut Buttercream while the Bottom layer is a French Vanilla Sponge frosted with Vanilla Buttercream. All the designs on the cake were made with Marshmallow Fondant.
The topper of this cake is an elaborate 2 colored Loop Bow which makes the the cake stand out.
In front of the bottom tier and at the sides of the top tier are lovely red, pink, white and purple flowers strategically placed in a circular pattern.
This cake also has the diamond pattern I use in a lot of my cakes. The patterns on this cake are however deeper which make them look almost like basket weaves.
On the whole, this is one cake which cannot be ignored.
