Below is a pictorial on how I made the fondant ship above. This ship was made as an accessory for Twin Jake and the Neverland Pirates Cakes. This is one of the most elaborate fondant pieces I have executed to date. I will try to provide little notes where I deem necessary.

The entire ship was constructed with marshmallow fondant with a few floral wires where needed. The whole process involved a lot of drying and waiting. What I tired to achieve below was a replica of the ship in the series. It might help to have a picture of the ship to use as reference.

Insert rail pillars for ship. Use floral wires to hold pillars with floral wires. Pillars were made using a pearl mold.

Stick front ship panel. The panel was made at the same time as the base for the ship, floral wires were inserted into it and it was allowed to dry. To stick, use melted white chocolate as well as the floral wires. Also Insert rail pillars for ship. Use floral wires to hold pillars to the ship. Finally, stick sail to the ship along with the fondant bars. Brush the “wooden” parts with shortening and the rest of the cake with vodka. Below are several views of the ship. Happy caking!
