Fondant Shenron Pictorial
This pictorial shows how I made Shenron which is a dragon character in the animation Dragon Ball Z. He is also referred to as the Eternal Dragon and the Dragon God. He was used as a topper for a Dragon Ball Z cake. Creating this character involved a lot of molding. I had to keep making reference to a picture of Shenron in other to arrive at this image. Part of the design (the body) was completed on the cake itself. I used marshmallow fondant for this project.
PICTORIAL:
Smooth firm fondant ball for head
The shaping begins
Beginning of eye and horn sockets
Eyes and horns sockets established
Red eyes placed
Eye lids placed and face demarcated
Nostrils created
Bottom jaw created
Bottom jaw placed
External gills created
External gills placed and scales made
Head completed with horns
Head placed on cake with the aid of floral wire
Belly plate created
Body shaped and glued to belly plate
Body completed
Body attached to head on cake
