This is a pictorial on how I made fondant Chess Pieces which were supposed to be used for a Chess Cake I made. I however ended up using a mold to make the chess pieces I used for the cake. I am sharing this pictorial for people who do not have access to a mold. I used marbled white and ivory fondant for the pieces in this tutorial. Individual parts were made and dried before stacking. They were going to be finished off with a coat of vodka mixed with corn syrup. I however did not get to this stage in the execution process before I took delivery of my mold.
